WHAT I LEARNED FROM INTERVIEWING 15 MILLIONAIRES:
Last weekend at EXPO I interviewed 15 of our Diamond Directors (all who are millionaires in Jeunesse) and their advice was incredible. To preface this post – I just want you to all to know that roughly 4 years ago MY life changed drastically when someone told me to NEVER take advice from someone who does not already have the results you desire in your life.
I quit caring about anyone’s opinion of what I was doing. My beliefs, and my values suddenly became MINE – not what I thought would make others happy. This empowered me to TRUST MYSELF which gave me the confidence I needed. I no longer relied on outside sources, because everything I needed in order to be successful was already inside of me, now it was my responsibility to tap into it.
You would not take fitness advice from someone who is fat and you would not take financial advice from someone who is broke. So next time people want to give you their “opinion” on your life they had better BE LIVING the ideal version of yours, and if they aren’t, let their words go in one ear and out the other. I promise you – you can do anything you desire to do, if your desire to CHANGE is greater than your desire to stay the same.
1. The importance of Future Pacing.
This means that if you don’t write out how you see yourself and your life 1 year, 2 years, and 5 years from now it isn’t likely to change very much. You have to map out your life. If you’re reading this and you are in the exact same place in your life as you were 3 years ago, now is a good time to PLAN ahead.
2. The importance of Belief.
In yourself and in others. Believing in oneself and believing in your business is the key to achieving great success. This can be attained through small victories, this is also attained by surrounding yourself with other like-minded individuals who FUEL your fire. Stay away from the doubters they do NOT serve you.
3. The importance of Commitment.
Babies have to crawl before they walk. Success in life and in business takes TIME. But the time will pass anyway, why not use it to do something that will create value to yourself and the marketplace. People follow people who demonstrate commitment. You must be ALL IN. You must be so focused on the task at hand that nothing and no one can sway your commitment.
4. The importance of Trying New Things.
Whether you are broken and barely making ends meet or living abundantly, trying new things can lead to massive success in your life. Not only monetarily, but in the person you become in the process.
5. The importance of Systems.
Stop trying to reinvent the wheel. There’s a reason why McDonald’s restaurants work everywhere, all the time, all over the world. They follow systems. Having strategic systems in your life and in your business is the key to creating duplication and also the key to getting things done.
6. The importance of Time Management.
Time is one thing none of us have enough of. Successful people have big libraries. Not-very-Successful people have big tv’s. BEWARE of the distractions in your life that are keeping you from breaking free. Focus your time on income producing activities.
7. The importance of Leadership.
Actions speak louder than words. We cannot expect from others what we do not demand from ourselves. If we ask others to do something we should be willing and able to do it ourselves. Real leaders bring others up with them.
8. The importance of Giving.
We must give of ourselves, our time, our money, our expertise. True leaders are many things to many people but you will always find their actions have a domino effect on others. Even when their giving is not done directly or one-on-one it has a far reaching effect which touches the lives of people all over.
9. The importance of Taking Action.
Imperfect action is better than none at all, and it is better to ask forgiveness than to ask for permission. Real leaders use these mottos (of course with discretion) but they are DOERS. They are SELFSTARTERS. This is the key to being a successful business owner. When you don’t have a boss to answer to or when no one is there to look over your shoulder, are you spending your time wisely? Are you doing DAILY the things necessary to advance? You aren’t responsible for the outcome – you are only responsible for the effort… but keep in mind your results aren’t fooling anyone.
10. The importance of Family.
Yes, our blood-family is important, but we are ALL people, we must be INCLUSIVE not exclusive. It doesn’t matter what race we are, what country we come from, or where we started out… We must love one another, respect one another, support one another, and we must always want for others the exact things we want for ourselves. We cannot be successful unless we help others become successful too. Business partners and customers are FAMILY because how we treat one is how we treat all.
——————–
And of course there is sooo much more but these are the top 10 things (in no specific order) that really resonated with me. I just want to encourage you to allow yourself to WANT more. It’s OKAY to make money, it’s OKAY to be successful. Playing small does not serve anyone, we all have amazing gifts and talents that sit, just waiting to be discovered. I beg you to do scary things, to try something new, and to allow yourself to connect to your very best life.
Love,
ღ Cassiah
